Linda Tripp, the Memorex-lovin' agent provocateur of the current White House sex scandal, has a problem of her own. Seems that Tripp forgot to disclose an old grand larceny arrest when she was filling out a Defense Department security clearance form in 1987.
That's a big no-no (and maybe even a felony).
Tripp, who was 19 and then known as Linda Carotenuto, got popped back in 1969 for allegedly swiping cash and a watch from a Greenwood Lake, N.Y. hotel room, as this police report details. Tripp's lawyer contends that she was "set up" and that criminal charges were eventually dropped. (2 pages)
